Single Point of Concern

At New Moston Primary School, we are committed to creating an open, supportive, and proactive culture where concerns can be shared easily and barriers to communication are reduced.

Our Single Point of Concern system provides one clear route for parents, carers, staff, visitors, and members of the community to raise any concern relating to a child or family. This allows us to identify concerns early, provide support quickly, and ensure that no concern goes unnoticed.

Concerns may relate to areas such as:

  • Attendance
  • Learning and progress
  • Behaviour
  • Pastoral or emotional wellbeing
  • SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
  • Friendship or social concerns
  • Family circumstances
  • Welfare or general support

All concerns submitted through this system are reviewed regularly by the appropriate members of staff and discussed as part of our weekly pupil support and wellbeing processes.

We encourage anyone with a concern — no matter how small it may seem — to share it with us.

Important Safeguarding Information

The Single Point of Concern system is not for urgent safeguarding concerns.

If you believe a child is at immediate risk of harm, or you have an urgent safeguarding concern, this must be reported immediately to the school safeguarding team or by emailing:

safeguarding@newmoston.manchester.sch.uk

If a child is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency services.

Submit a Concern

Please complete the form below with as much information as possible. A member of the relevant team may contact you if further information is required.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all children.
