The inspection highlighted our strong early years program and positive student behaviour. Areas identified for improvement include curriculum coherence and enhancing reading fluency across key stages.

What’s Changed Since the Inspection?
Following the inspection, a new Headteacher was appointed in January 2025, bringing a renewed energy and a clear, ambitious vision for school improvement, followed by the appointment of a new Deputy Headteacher in April 2025
Since then, rapid and focused progress has been made across all areas of school life:
Strengthening Teaching and Learning

New curriculum frameworks now centralise improvement and ensure clarity, ambition, and progression across every subject.

Phonics and early reading are now a whole-school priority, with a consistent, high-quality approach implemented to improve fluency, accuracy, and confidence.

Systems and processes for teaching, assessment, and intervention have been overhauled to ensure every child makes progress and no one is left behind.
Investing in Early Years and the Learning Environment

Substantial financial investment will been made in our Early Years over the next three years, enhancing both indoor and outdoor learning environments to promote high-quality early development.

A brand-new library and community space is currently being developed to support a love of reading, family learning, and wider engagement opportunities.
- The creation of our PROUD area has significantly boosted motivation to learn by providing an inspiring and celebratory space for showcasing achievements and excellence.
Raising Standards, Improving Outcomes

Our new behaviour policy is already having a significant impact, supported by clear routines, high expectations, and a shared language of respect and responsibility.

Academic outcomes are improving because of greater consistency, stronger leadership, and targeted support for children who need it most.

Our new SEND systems include updated communication methods, improved referral processes, and a clearer pathway for personalised support.

Pastoral and inclusion support has been significantly strengthened to meet the needs of every child and family.
